K-MC4 adds a new dimension to our sensors. RFbeam narrow beam transceivers:
All these modules are equipped with an FM-Input and the RSW (Rapid Sleep Wakeup) energy saving mode.
K-MC4 is a Doppler Transceiver with an asymmetrical beam and two receiver antennas. This configuration allows measuring the angle of moving objects. This technique is often simply called “Monopulse Radar”, but in fact it is a “Phase-Comparison Monopulse” technique.
There are two receiver antennas shown here in different colors. Moving objects generate phase shifts between the 2 receiver channels.
Relation between object angle and phase shift at the two receiver channels is nearly linear: 1° object angle -> 6.7° IF phase shift.
K-MC4 contains IF preamplifiers for simplified interfacing to signal processing hardware. Large FMCW range and battery saving circuit ("RSW") make this module an exeptional choice for advanced traffic and security applications.
An extremely slim and compact construction with only 6mm depth gives you maximum flexibility in your equipment design.
